 I begin my Fire Service career in 1977 with the Knoxville F.D. Explorer Post # 686 and in 1980 was a volunteer firefighter with the West Knoxville Volunteer FD then hired as a reserve firefighter with Rural/Metro F.D. when they purchased WKVFD. In 1984 I was promoted as a full-time firefighter with Rural/Metro F.D. In 1987 I was hired part-time firefighter with Lenoir City F.D. and was promoted to full-time status in 1990 and resigned at Rural/Metro. I am currently serving as Captain / Training Officer and I am also a member of Loudon Co. Fire/Rescue Squad and chairman of the Loudon Co. Training Committee.

My certifications include E.M.T., Fire Service Instructor I, Explorer Advisor, Haz-Mat Technician, S.I.D.S. Instructor

Vehicle Extrication Technician, E.V.O.C. Instructor, and Smallpox Response Team
